Intermediate Carbine

Course Description

This one-day, 8-hour course focuses on dependable rifle and carbine skills you will actually use. We begin with a focused classroom session covering safety, and the fundamentals of sight picture, trigger control, and natural point of aim. On the range we reinforce those fundamentals with a series of progressive drills designed to develop consistent hits, faster follow-up shots, efficient reloads, malfunction drills, target transitions, and movement on the range. The class emphasizes tactical application: shooting while moving, engaging multiple targets, using available cover effectively, and performing immediate action drills under time pressure. Instruction blends demonstration, coached repetitions, and realistic scenarios so students leave confident and competent with their rifle or carbine. Items needed: Carbine, 300 rounds of FMG or frangible ammo, 2 spare magazines, battle belts or chest rigs are recommended but not required. Prerequisites: Basic Carbine or equivalent.
