Intro to Carbine operations
Course Description
This class is designed for those unfamiliar with carbines, specifically the AR platform. Being mostly held in the classroom, this course covers the parts and function of the carbine as well as capabilities and limitations. We will discuss safe handling, operation, and storage as well as field stripping and cleaning. This course will end on the range with students zeroing their carbines, focusing on the fundamentals of marksmanship, and performing basic drills. Items needed: Carbine, 100 rounds of FMJ or frangible ammo, 1 spare magazine Prerequisites: None
